I live in north central Texas and the rampant wildfires have me worried a bit. My heart goes out to all those who have lost their homes or lives (as of right now the count is at 4) to the fires. I'm sitting here at my kitchen table with the windows open and can smell them like it's in my own yard. The haze is pretty thick as well, all around town. It saddens me that in today's society of so much technology and weaponry against other countries, that we don't have something in place to keep a fire from ravaging our homes when it's abundantly clear what's about to happen! I mean, don't we have some kind of spray fire retardant we can spray our home down with to protect it? Is that so far fetched? I don't think so.
Oh well, maybe one day soon someone will invent such a thing. For now, I'll just keep on praying for rain.
