I swear I must have bad ankles. I mean I've sprained my ankle 3 times now in the last two years. Isn't that a lot? I think it's too much! lol I mean this time I was just stepping off the last step of my porch and all of a sudden "crack..pop..tear!" and down I go with my purse, camera, keys, and a canned drink in my hands! And also manage to bang my knee up on the opposite leg on the concrete stepping stones! I was sooo mad! I was on my way to watch my daughters second volleyball game of the year when it happened. So after I managed to collect my wits and shoo my lab Logan away from me (I guess he thought I was sitting on the ground just to play with him! My husband swears he was coming to my rescue! ha!) I managed to find my keys and hobble back into the house.
So that was on Monday and now it's Thursday. After not being able to walk on it at all for two days I'm finally able to put weight on it and move around.
So watch out for that last step, it's a doozie!

Wildfires!
I live in north central Texas and the rampant wildfires have me worried a bit. My heart goes out to all those who have lost their homes or lives (as of right now the count is at 4) to the fires. I'm sitting here at my kitchen table with the windows open and can smell them like it's in my own yard. The haze is pretty thick as well, all around town. It saddens me that in today's society of so much technology and weaponry against other countries, that we don't have something in place to keep a fire from ravaging our homes when it's abundantly clear what's about to happen! I mean, don't we have some kind of spray fire retardant we can spray our home down with to protect it? Is that so far fetched? I don't think so.
Oh well, maybe one day soon someone will invent such a thing. For now, I'll just keep on praying for rain.
